Medical Conditions:

Axonal Neuropathy – This type of neuropathy is caused by nutritional deficiencies and poisoning by toxic substances.

Bells Palsy - A disorder caused by damage to cranial nerve VII, involving sudden facial drooping and decreased ability to move the face. Bell's palsy is an acute form of cranial mononeuropathy VII, and it is the most common form of this type of nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) Also known as: Facial Palsy, Facial Paralysis, peripheral neuropathy

Botox Forum - An online discussion group in which participants with interests, questions or complications with Botox Injections can exchange open messages.

Cosmetic Enhancement Forum - An online discussion group in which participants with interests, questions or complications with cosmetic enhancement procedures can exchange open messages.

Demyelinating - This type of neuropathy (which is characterized by degeneration of the myelin sheath surrounding nerves) occurs after infections, such as in Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Demyelinating polyneuropathy - Diseases characterized by loss or dysfunction of myelin in the central or peripheral nervous system

Demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy – A slowly progressive autoimmune demyelinating disease of peripheral nerves and nerve roots. Clinical manifestations include weakness and sensory loss in the extremities and enlargement of peripheral nerves. The course may be relapsing-remitting or demonstrate a step-wise progression. Protein is usually elevated in the spinal fluid and cranial nerves are typically spared. GUILLAIN-BARRE SYNDROME features a relatively rapid progression of disease which distinguishes it from this condition.

Guillain Barre - Guillain-Barre syndrome is a disorder caused by nerve inflammation involving progressive muscle weakness or paralysis, which often follows an infectious illness. Also known as: Landry-Guillain-Barre syndrome; Acute idiopathic polyneuritis; Infectious polyneuritis; Acute inflammatory polyneuropathy

Numbness and Tingling - Numbness is a complete lack of sensation or lack of response to normally painful. Tingling is an indication of damage or irritation to the nerves. Unlike numbness, tingling suggests that the affected nerve is not completely dead or severed, just injured or experiencing pressure. Also known as: Sensory loss; Paresthesias; Tingling and numbness; Loss of sensation

Sensorimotor polyneuropathy - Sensorimotor polyneuropathy is a condition involving decreased movement or sensation associated with nerve damage. Sensorimotor polyneuropathy is a form of peripheral neuropathy (damage to nerves other than the brain or spinal cord). It is not a disorder itself but is occurs with disorders involving damage to multiple peripheral nerves (polyneuropathy). Also known as: Polyneuropathy – sensorimotor
